Scapefall Arriving Soon

It's been a long while since the last update but I'm extremely excited to be able to announce that Scapefall is nearly done and will be released within a few weeks. Screenshots, a trailer and details will be being posted in the coming days.

Originally, Scapefall was scheduled to be released for the iPhone and iPad today, which is why those of you living in New York, Los Angeles or Vancouver may have seen ads for the game already. Luckily the wait will be well worth it.

A new journal has been written and posted that explores Pandemic 2.5's release and the future of Dark Realm Studios. This is covered in the journal as well, but the announcement that was originally planned for August has been pushed to October. I think once the announcement has been made you'll agree that it was well worth the wait. Also, the possiblity of Pandemic 2.5 arriving on the Android by the end of the year is very real.

The extensive 1.1 update for Pandemic 2.5 has finally been approved and is now available on the App Store. Update your game today, or if you've sitting on the fence, now is the perfect time to purchase the game as the new update has made it far easier for new players to get into the game.

With Pandemic updated, a new journal will be written and made available in the coming days. Keep on the look out for some exciting news coming mid August.

The 1.1 update to Pandemic 2.5 definitely took a bit longer than expected, but it has been done for a bit now and should be approved later this week, if not by next week at the latest.

This week started off with Pandemic 2.5 breaking past the quarter-million sales mark! You guys are terrifyingly awesome (and perhaps a bit bloodthirsty?)!

The massive 1.1 update is nearly done: this weekend will be spent fine-tuning the tutorial and triple-testing all the new content and fixes. The update will be sent to Apple on the 28th which means it should go live sometime early next month.

Pandemic 2.5 continues its assault on the App Store and currently stands at #2 in both the US and Canada and at #1 in the UK! But unlike other companies, there is no marketing team at Dark Realm Studios which is why (if you’ve liked the game) it’s vital that you guys spread the word about Pandemic 2.5 over Facebook or Twitter!

The update to version 1.01 went live yesterday for Pandemic 2.5. If you haven’t yet updated, do so now to get numerous fixes and tweaks. And now with 1.01 out of the way, work on the big 1.1 update can begin which (when live later this month) will include saved game support, tutorials, improved UI and much more.

If you’ve played the game and want more of the amazing music, then you’re in luck! Evgueni has just released the official Pandemic 2.5 soundtrack today on Beatport! Or if Beatport is not your thing, you can also find the soundtrack on iTunes.

And lastly, another review of Pandemic 2.5 has been written, this time on CNET. Jason Parker gives the game four out of five stars.

Wow, thanks to all your amazing support Pandemic 2.5 has been flying off the (digital) shelves and is sitting securely in the top 5 on the app store! Check Gamasutra for the gory details. But don't think that just because the game has been released that work on the game has stopped.

Update 1.01 should go live later this week once Apple approves it. It's a small update that fixes a number of issues like the instructions on the iPhone and a rare input related bug.

Once version 1.01 is made available, work will begin on an extensive update bringing the game up to version 1.1. This update will primarily focus on improving the game by adding saved games, a tutorial, and interface improvements.

And on a side note as a temporary reliever until version 1.1 comes online, later today I'll be posting a guide to the game for newcomers on the Dark Realm Studios forums.

It's only been just over a day, but already so much is going on that my head is literally spinning (severe lack of sleep). But you didn’t come here to read about my sleeping habits. You came for news – or perhaps to buy Pandemic 2.5.

Unsure of whether or not Pandemic 2.5 is a game that interests you? Well if you can't decide, allow Mr. Tom Chick of QuarterToThree to think for you! He has just recently written a review of the game and has given it 4/5 stars!

Secondly, if you're French, or can read French and are interested in perhaps winning a copy of Pandemic 2.5, the great guys over at iPhoneSoft are currently running a contest. Get over there quick if you want a shot at saving yourself $0.99.

Speaking of contests: if you live in Vancouver or its surrounding area, you'll have a chance to win a copy of Pandemic 2.5 for your iPhone or iPad. If you happen to stumble across any blood filled vials while moving around the city, you'll find a label containing a promo code that can be used on the App Store. Note: vials aren't filled with real blood and if you find a blood filled vial that is without a label, I'd recommend giving your hands a thorough washing. Yes, The day is finally here! Pandemic 2.5 has hit the App Store and is now available for iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches for only $0.99.

In slightly less exciting news: I'll be writing a journal on the release as well as what players can expect in future updates to the game. And if you live in Vancouver (or surrounding area), you may win a chance to get the game for free tomorrow morning in my odd attempt at viral marketing!

A few days ago development on Pandemic 2.5 finaly came to an official end, and the game was sent away to Apple for approval! I'm eager to see it released on the App Store, and am hoping that it will be approved soon.
