Kingdom Keeper - Release

It has been over two months since I over optimistically announced that Kingdom Keeper was (once again) near completion.

When I made that announcement I had obviously forgotten Murphy's Law which simply states that "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong." This whole experience has taught me two things:

  • Never do a project this complex if it is your first time working with these people in this programming language
  • Never say anything with as much certainty as we have been or something will go wrong and we are responsible for pissing off the internet.

So with lessons learned, I am proud to finally announce (for real this time) Kingdom Keeper's Release.

Hello, I just played through your game: Kingdom Keeper.

I'd like to share some thoughts as a another game developer:

1. Graphics, while being quite simple and well animated, they could easily be classified as: Poor. (only few models and skins kinda get boring to the eyes after a while, also the main characters model did no upgrade with the upgrades bought(other than the 3 lvl1 weapons))

2. Combat, was actually really repetive. Either cast few spells constantly or just swing your weapon.(Having some more attack animations for the main character (like: combo of stab, swipe and overhead smash would have improved the combat feeling)

3. Plot, I guess you guys already knew it and made it on purpose: cliche on everything.

4. Ai, was actually best part in the game, the enemies could jump over you, surround you and do more than just to run to your blade.

Overall I would not reall

dude seriously u guyz, u have got to make pandemic three it would be amazing you could make it as a sequel to pandemic american swine like it could be multiplayer you could just find a random partner on a different computer who u dont even know or you could set up a freind list and battle your freind and one would play as america and one would play as the swine flu and just a side note in pandemic: AS it says disburse not disperse

Progamming Is Hard
2009-11-05
guys, I thought Kingdom Keeper sucked but if you think about it they have to test it on MANY MANY MANY different computers and operating systems, also they have to code it and recode it over and over and update it to EVERY computer, i mean it is hard. my dad's a programmer for a company not games but still.

I have to say I'm disappointed in you guys you guys had AWESOME pandemic 2 but since then it's gone downhill with this, AS, and Rain. It really sucked and I couldn't stand two seconds of KK. AS was easy as hell on HARD. And Rain just was plain boring, but I really hope The Farm is good, mostly cause games like that are easy to make
